Our Specialised Services
Bringing clarity and safety back to your vehicle's headlights.
Service 1: The Mobile Headlight Refresh (Cosmetic Restoration) This service is designed for headlights that have become cloudy, yellowed, or hazy due to UV exposure and environmental elements. Because this is a surface-level restoration, it is performed on-site at the client’s home or workplace. The process involves:
Protection: Masking off surrounding paintwork to ensure vehicle safety.
Sanding: Multi-stage wet and dry sanding to remove the oxidized "dead" plastic and light scratch marks.
Refining: Smoothing the lens surface to a fine finish to prepare for polishing.
Polishing: Machine buffing the lens to a crystal-clear, high-gloss transparency.
Sealing: Applying a premium UV-resistant ceramic coating to protect the lens from future yellowing.
Service 2: The Headlight Leak Repair and Refresh (Structural Overhaul) This is a technical, multi-step workshop service for headlights suffering from internal moisture, standing water, or failed seals. This requires a controlled environment; therefore, we offer a dedicated collection and delivery service for the headlight units. Our rigorous 8-step repair protocol includes:
Initial Pressure Test: Identifying the exact location of air or water leaks.
Thermal Disassembly: Heating the unit in a specialized chamber to safely separate the lens from the housing.
Internal Restoration: Deep cleaning the interior lens, projector, and chrome shrouds to remove water spots.
Sealant Extraction: Complete removal of old, degraded factory sealant.
New Sealant Application: Applying a fresh layer of high-grade, automotive-specific sealant.
Thermal Re-Bonding: Reheating and clamping the lens and body together for a permanent bond.
Post-Repair Pressure Test: A second test to ensure the unit is 100% airtight and waterproof.
Final Polish: Finishing the exterior to a shiny, new-look finish.
Service 3: Lens Replacement & Structural Restoration This premium service is designed for headlights where the original plastic lens is cracked, heavily pitted, or structurally compromised beyond the scope of a standard "Refresh." Because this involves opening the unit, it follows our rigorous workshop protocol to ensure a factory-grade seal. The process involves:
Lens Sourcing: We consult with the client to source a replacement lens. Depending on budget and availability, we offer either Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) lenses or high-quality Aftermarket alternatives.
Structural Integration: Once the new lens is acquired, the headlight unit undergoes the exact 8-step procedure used in our Leak Repair service (Service 2).
Component Transfer: We meticulously transfer all internal reflectors, shrouds, and projectors from the old housing to the new assembly.
Sealing & Testing: Using our thermal bonding and pressure testing equipment, we ensure the new lens is fused perfectly to the original housing, providing a crystal-clear appearance with a 100% airtight guarantee.
Service 4: Full Unit Sourcing & Electronic Integration For headlights that are smashed or have internal electrical failure, we offer a comprehensive sourcing service. We tap into our exclusive database of automotive suppliers to find a high-quality, used complete headlight assembly. Important Technical Considerations:
Module Compatibility: Clients must be aware that modern automotive lighting is highly complex. Many electronic control modules are "VIN-locked" (programmed to work only with one specific vehicle).
Hardware Transfer: If the replacement unit is compatible, we will fit your vehicle's original electronic module into the "new" used housing to maintain system communication.
Software & Programming: Due to manufacturer security (Component Protection), some vehicles require a programming visit to an OEM Dealer after installation to "pair" the new light to the car’s computer.
Client Responsibility: While we provide the hardware and physical installation, any required dealer-level software reprogramming is the financial responsibility of the client. Each vehicle make and model has unique requirements, which we will discuss during the quote process.
